The Service Center provides limited assistance to individuals in Mobile County who are in times of crisis and suffering from a reduction or loss of income.

Hours of Operation:

Monday - Friday | 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm

Appointments can be made by calling (251)434-1500 or by coming into the center at 555 Dauphin St. Requests for assistance must be made IN PERSON at The Service Center. Due to the personal nature of our services, emails or voice mail messages to set up appointments or ask for assistance will not be returned. Walk-ins may be seen on a first-come, first-served basis as case managers become available but there is no guarantee that walk-ins will be seen. Walk-ins are welcome to come to The Service Center at 9:00 AM or 1:00 pm to seek assistance in food (M-F) and clothing (Tues. and Wed.). Clients needing food assistance will be required to show a referral letter from the Food Stamp office before a food voucher will be issued.
